Tasen alien breed was created by Daniel Remar for the videogame Iji

Tasen scouts are the lowest rank in tasen army, and are sent in the battlefield more to confuse the enemy and divert fire from more skilled soldiers, rather than cause damage. Plus, in my version, the tasen leader actually wants them to die, because to him they are a burden to the tasen cause.

This is why those dudes appear clumsy, slow to react and overall confused, They might greet an intruder as if was a friend, or start to tremble in fear, unable to react even to save their lives.

As you can see they also look pretty childish when they take damage or die.

Speaking about the spritesets, the standard i had in mind is Click 'n Play or the old Gamemaker, so in my sprites for platformers there might be 2 separate sets, one for when the character is facing right and another for when the character is facing left.
In the system i mentioned, the game engine used to store both set separately, so mirroring the base sprite wasn't going to save space in the hard disk.

The third file in the preview as been added to show that the sprite is indexed and the palette can be swapped to create different thugs.

Also, Since someone prefers to work with cropped .pcx/png and someone else prefers to work with spritesheets, i uploaded corresponding mute spritesheets in PNG format.

In other sprite i published i didn't attach a spritesheet because it would be huge and perhaps... Expecially un-necessary, if you need a mute spritesheet of any other of my sprites that doesn't have one, let me know on the comments on those entries.
