That pixelly background looks like it actually is the background from Super Mario World.

It is, I didn't create a background but put that behind to show what it would look like against it.

Actually, there's a sort of undocumented rule that says preview images have to include freely licensed art, too. Which, of course, means the ripped background violates it.
