As far as I can tell, under these restrictions (in Prohibitions section) it is not CC-0. Probably not even CC-BYwe're checked
Hello,
Just looking at your page, the second section (prohibitions) is in conflict with the actual terms of the license. Essentially you're making requests that are legally unenforceable based on the license you've already applied to the work. OGA will honor such requests but you might want to reassess your licensing if those prohibitions are particularly important to you, since they are not compatable with any free license.
What a beautiful picture!
This is a great work, unfortunately, as far as the license goes, we've been down this path before.
The requirement is that the license(s) chosen for a work matches the actual license(s) the work is being distributed under. This is critical to keeping OGA useful as a source for open licensed material for developers and artists.
Using the description or notes fields to add additional restrictions, terms, etc. or (as in this case) to specificy an alternate license entirely is not allowed.
Yeah. What capbros said. I can understand the need for self-promotion, but if you have licenses you want people to follow that aren't compatible with OGA then the files can't be here. If you still want the people here to see it consider using a forum post or creating a subset file that can be released under one of the licenses here and link to the other.
The general consensus is that you should not link to licensing restrictions that are incompatible with the license you've specified. Would you be willing to revise the prohibitions or change the copyright/attribution link? I have to mark this as having a licensing issue for now.
We will think about a new license.
Do I face any problems if I used this sprite??
I mean since the owner gave it away to us and put a free download link, I don't think that there will be any legal issue right?
The download link was provided under the following stipulations: https://craftpix.net/file-licenses/These stipulations have to be followed unless the author gives an explicit waiver to you. There is no problems or legal isssue provided you follow them. Unfortunately, these stipulations are incompatible with the license shown here (CC BY 3.0) so the download link had to be disabled to avoid licensing issues. However, the assets may be available on the author's own site, though the stipulations may still apply. It has been over a year since the licensing issue was brought up. The license in the Copyright/Attribution Notice section has not been updated to avoid conflicts with CC-BY. Unless new information can be provided, I will be unpublishing this asset soon.Craftpix has revised the submission. The extra licensing stipulations have been removed for this version. Be sure to check out his site for additional artwork.
