here are some tiles for a game I have been doing some of the art for. I know they look like direct rips however if you were to look at them with a side by side comparison of sonic 1 you will notice some major and minor differences.
I used thee Sega Genesis colour pallet for this tile set and tried to keep as close to the original colours of sonic as possible.
I have also provided a picture of the loop design that I use for these tiles however I made it so you can customise your own.

Doing a side-by-side comparison, I did not notice any major differences, only minor ones. What methods did you use to keep this as close to the source of inspiration as possible?
Other than a palette inversion, these seem identical to copyrighted content in most places. This meets the legal burden of substantial similarity. Without knowing more about the methods used to create this, I must mark this as having a potential license issue. I'm hoping that's temporary, though. Please let me know as soon as you are able.
No response from submitter. Pending any new information on this, I will have to remove this submission soon.
the method I used to create this was just straight from memory. I didn't use any references when creating this tile set. The similarities were intentional however I intended that there be enough differences to differentiate from the original redesign from the game which is why I decided to not use any references. after reading your comment I guess I failed in that regard.
Should you require me to remove this set I understand and would gladly remove it should that be your request.
Well that's good news.
How was the palette determined? Also straight from memory?Disregard; you already answered in the description. Let me check into some things. :)
