All the original art assets I made for my game Seppuku Jisei. It's been out for a long time now and has run it's course so I decided to make these assets Public Domain, so others might get some use out of them.
Contains:
Samurai Animation Sheet, each frame 48x48 pixels including padding:
- Up, Down, Left, Right walk cycles, 3 frames each.
- Up, Down, Left, Right attack animations, 3 frames each.
- 12 death animations, 3 in each direction, 3 frames each.
Seppuku Animation Sheet, each frame 32x48 pixels, 13 frames
Blood Sprite Sheet, each sprite 12x12 pixels, 8 sprites
Various Gore Sprites
A Slash animation used for attacks

And this is what I'm actually working on as we speak. Don't expect it in a hurry but I loved that game as a kid and it's good inspiration.
I am a big Sword of the Samurai fan myself. If you do end up remaking it, please do let us know, whether or not you use these sprites! :)
Oh wow, wasn't expecting a reply from the artist. I definitely will let you know though. I'm currently using your Samurai as a place holder at the very least so I have something to move around. But open source or not I was going to ask you before I actually was going to ask you first anyway. If I do you'll DEFINITELY be in the credits.
