Roman Rescue Run Pompeii is my entry into the Fall All-OGA Game Jam 2018.
In keeping with the rules of the jam and as my way of giving back to the OGA community and saying thanks to all the artists whose works contributed to the creation of the game, here are the art and sound files from the game.

The bulk of the sprites and tiles are derived from surt's Ikaros set.
I've twiddled a few tiles, added some animations, recolored everything to the Sega Master System palette, and given the sprites a more cartoony look to match my silly game.
The lavaball and lava flow are derived from FiveAsOne's Bullet Frames' and 'Explosion Effect' sets.
Some of the UI elements (heart, life marker, coin symbol) are original by me.

The sounds are all original created by me with sxfr.  The death and end of level fanfares are also by me, done on the quick in fruity loops.
I've included the original sfs files for them in case anyone wants to fiddle with them further.

Thanks!  TBH, I was worried you'd hate it.  I mean putting googly eyes and smiley faces on the Ikaros sprites felt borderline blasphamous, but it gave the game the kind of goofy charm it needed.  Was a bit too somber before that.  And don't worry, this one was strictly a side-job, still dreaming of using those Ikaros sprites (and their brilliant palette) for Medusa Must Die!
