I saw someone recently in the comments request a radar panel, namely the sweep effect.
In the process of making this I got to know using GIMP a little better and even discovered some new features.
GIMP master file included for convenience of editing.
You might have issues opening the file using any version of GIMP older than v3.0.4

Thank you, Tsorthan Grove! I struggled to find a free radar with a separate layer for the sweep effect. I tried to make it by myself with Photoshop, but it wasn't as elegant as yours :)
I've been able to customise it a bit, changing the colour in runtime, according to my needs, since you provided clear layers. Thanks again!
I'm pleased you found use of it. I've been slowly learning all the filter effects in GIMP and now I know them a little better.
I labelled all the layers last minuite for ease of editing and less frustrating for the end user.
