Rabbit - Surge [Animated]
*** NOTE: Unlike other Classic Hero edits, this is NOT released under CC0. ***
I received a request to do Surge, of OpenSurge, in the style of Jason-Em's Classic Hero. This is what I came up with. This was commissioned by Umz Games to use in the Android game Sprinter Quest, and graciously allowed to be released on OGA. Sprinter Quest will be updated over the next few months, so please follow its progress and support them!
Surge has a fluffy tail, but I wasn't able to fit it in to the limited pixel count. I did however get his chest fluff, snarky smile, and light-up sneakers.
In the future I may update with lightning added to his punch and jumpkick, and I would really like to add more dynamic/floppy ears.
Thanks to OpenSurge and Jason-Em for the fabulous character designs, and Umz Games for supporting open content development.

Simply Amazing.
Nice work! I can't really claim any credit for the character design, though--that was done by the Opensurge team, I just adapted it.
Hmm...I can't use Surge by himself, so you'll have to just make the rest of the USF characters in the same style. ;-)
Nice Work. ^_^
Thanks all!
@Redshrike: I referenced your work to make this, but I'll change the attribution to not identify you as the character designer.
@Boom: I can see it now: USF Surge and Xeon approach an arcade, put in coins, and play Super Pixel USF as Sorlo VS The Blob!
Hey, I am not an artist, and am having a difficult time figuring out which images go with what animations. My original thought--and perhaps the correct one--is that they are ordered by column; however, that doesn't appear to be correct just by looking at it. I would appreciate any help! Thank you for the awesome art!
No, you're right. Downwards columns for each animation.
Idle, Run, Jump, Attack. They're all in order. Believe me: Check out Surge Rescue Game where I've used them ha, so I'm not making it up! Haha. They're really really good Sprites!
Okay! Thanks! I just don't have a great eye for these kinds of things. I am a programmer, so I don't often deal with the art side of things. But working on my own project has made me get out of my comfort zone lol.
Wonderful design, those ears need some "bounce" in the movement animations though!
