Oblique projection: all assets

This particular perspective, known best for its appearance in some Ultima installments and in the retro MMO Tibia, is a flavor of oblique projection.  Though it has a certain odd look, it allows rather dense packing of information on a screen.  I doubt there will be enough assets in this style to justify splitting the collection into tiles and characters, but if necessary it will be done in the future.

If you see something you'd like added, or would like to be a collaborator, just leave a comment.

Download Credits File

OpenGameArt.org can automatically generate a single credits file for all of the art in this collection. Please note that, while we tried our best, this file is in no way guaranteed to be accurate, and properly attributing the work you distribute with your project remains your responsibility. You'll want to load up this file in a text editor, check to make sure everything looks good (and that any special attribution instructions are followed), and then delete the notice at the top of the file, as the notice is designed to make you look very silly if you don't check over the file and remove it.

I understand that I'll end up looking really stupid if I didn't read the above paragraph, and want to download the credits file.

To be honest, I have no clue about what actually makes something oblique projection. Non the less, I thought this might be of your interest: http://opengameart.org/content/perspective-walls-template.

Thanks for the heads up.  I vaguely remembered that one, but hadn't had time to track it down.

It's true that the oblique projection is a bit of an oddball in the gaming, and not seen much today.  There's a technical definition, but it's not exciting.  It can kind of overlap with isometric; if you rotate these 45 degrees you'll get something isometrish, anyway.

Thanks again!  I went ahead and added you as a collaborator so you have the power to add any more you see (if there are any).  Again, I really appreciate your help on this!
