Towering trees, sprawling leaves, giant mushrooms, in the style of the Liberated Pixel Cup!
This is a major expansion and reworking of my older "[LPC] Jungle" set, building on some great new art from Sevarihk, pistachio, ansimuz, and others. The original set is here as `lpc-jungle.zip`, and the newer version is `lpc-jungle-v2.zip`. Also, thanks to changes in licensing of upstream assets, both versions are now CC-BY 4.0. Thanks to Ajaxian for commissioning this update!
If you appreciate my work, please consider supporting me and me art on my Ko-fi page! https://ko-fi.com/bluecarrot16 . I am also open for custom commissions; send me a direct message to discuss!
Every sprite in this set is big; much bigger than the characters. Use these objects to make a fantastical forest, a scene where characters have been shrunken, or just a cool huge jungle.
- There are three modular trees in `giant-trees.png`: one from the OpenPixel Project; one from Hyptosis; and one from Sevarihk. In each case there is a repeating segment that can be used to make trees of any height; there are also one or more bases for each tree. For Hyptosis' tree, I have tried to line up the pieces vertically, such that tiles in the same row can replace one another.
- In addition, there are some regular-size trees in `viney-trees.png`. Trees are spaced 8 * 32 = 256px apart vertically; this way you can import them into Tiled (or similar) with tile size = 32 x 256px to create an overlapping effect, like in the second preview image. Several of the viney trees were edited from an earlier version of this submission to fit with the neat trees from Sevarihk's Aztec tileset.
- `giant-fungi.png` contains several styles of fungi---both freestaning mushrooms as well as shelf fungi that can grow on the giant trees. There are also a handful of non-giant fungi in similar styles; I hope to edit these more in the future to be more cohesive.
- `giant-plants.png` contains some giant plants! These have been edited heavily from the earlier version These use two slightly different green color palettes for the time being; this could probably be improved in the future. Additionally, some of the flowers use non-LPC colors.
Removed in version 2:
There are a few smaller plants, as well as a grass texture, that were removed in version 2. I'm planning to improve them and release them in later assets. Additionally, I removed some of the trees by Hyptosis from this version. I have other plans for them! Don't worry; you can still find the old versions of everything in `lpc-jungle.zip`!

Wow these extensions of the flora collections are really cool! It feels like another christmas present:) Thanks to everybody that has contributed to this art as well!!
Wow this is awesome. I love that you are remaking the stuff I've submitted to work with LPC.
That giant flower in this pack is as big as a player! I love it! Thanks for doing this, you have no idea how much I appreciate this.
Thanks guys! Yeah the flowers/leaves from the Open Pixel Platformer work surprisingly well as wacky giant plants in an orthographic RPG style.
Zabin, I hope you'll go and re-make some of the extra stuff in the DB32 palette/style ;-)
Nice work, thx for sharing your work :3
Hey there, bluecarrot16, have you seen the plants in this pack? I'd reccomend adding them to your tileset, as they work pretty well with LPC. :)

Thanks for the heads up! I was waiting for the other 4 plants, but they appear to have arrived :) I've been meaning to revisit this pack for a while, and this is a great opportunity.
Awesome! The plants are originally designed for iso, but work well for orthogonal, with a simple pallete change they should fit in swell with LPC. Also, if you are going to be revisiting this pack, it would be great to have some sort of Mayan/Aztec pyramids and ruins. ;)
