A dapper gentleman in the LPC style. Pseudo-victorian-style, though not completely accurate. I started by extending the LPC formal wear by pennomi, laetissima, and makrohn < https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-2-characters > (which included a shirt, pants, belt, vest, necktie, and bowtie) to include all cases (thrust, slash, and shoot); then I added a jacket in three colors, a trenchcoat, iverness cape, tophat and bowler hat. I took pennomi's monocle < https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-base-character-expressions > and extended it to all frames, and also made some round glasses. I made a few variations of things with stripes. Finally, I made a cane featuring walking and thrusting animations, and a half-hearted rifle with just the shooting animation.
The hats are a little wonky depending on what weapons you equip (specifically the bow), so I added a "top" version and a "bottom" version which go above and below the weapons layer respectively. If you don't have such a weapon, you can just stack them both.
I have lots more ideas, but was running out of steam and wanted to finally release this, since it was getting to be a big set anyway. Some future expansions I may or may not pursue: plaid/tweed patterns, a pipe, deerstalker ("Sherlock Holmes") hat, newsboy cap, taller tophat, suspenders, cravat ties, breeches, tuxedo, pocket squares, eyepatch, sash, and chains for the vest. I would also love to see some cool steampunky-weapons, but I don't think I'll be the one to make them.
Preview images also include hair by Joe White < https://opengameart.org/content/ponytail-and-plain-hairstyles >. Also, all the preview images are barefoot since this set includes no shoes :p

This is fantastic! I'm so, so happy you put this up! Yes!
Into my character creator app with this set. I'll link it from my dev blog, too!
Very nice set!
@ElizaWy: Where is your character creator?
@AntumDeluge - I'm trying to get the entire LPC set in a web app. You'll be able to build your character the way you want it, preview it with working controls, then the app will render the compiled character sheets for you. My dev blog is at http://thelastscore.com if you'd like to check it out. :)
Anyway, right now I'm having a few problems with my server's ftp, so it's not live yet-- but a few days of work once the road blocks are gone, and it will be. Since it's a community project I'm spending a lot of time doing quality control work on all the clothing and body assets.
Your blog looks nice. Can't wait to see the character creator.
I want to use the tophat & bowler hat, which sounds like you didn't derive from anything. Is attributing you sufficient? Or do I need to include the whole Copyright/Attribution Notice that you listed?
