Here is my contribution to the LPC. I think I will use it for the coding contest by building my own shoot'em up game : "GNU versus the zombie rotten tomatoes" (working title).

The kit is released under CC-BY-SA 3.0, GPL 3.0 and LGPL 3.0

Note: I don't know why but shootemup.tar.gz becomes shootemup.tar_.gz after upload (security reasons?). Rename the archive once downloaded.

And so it begins! Excellent job! I downloaded it, but was wondering since I can't tell. Is the water animated?

The water is animated in 3 frames. I tried an animated flame too.

I thought using these animations in my 'bullets hell' game, but regarding benchmarks I did on my 1.6GHz pc, I am afraid that I can't do. That's unforntunate...

Hi Johann C, great graphic kit you have here :) thanks for sharing!

May i ask if i can make changes to the .blend files? I'm planning a 3D game, and i would like to use the 3D aircrafts that you have modelled. I need to add some wheels :)

Also, if i use those models of yours, can my project be a commercial one? You will have the credits attributed to you where applicable of course!

Thanks!

Regards,

Carlos V.

The kit is released under CC-BY-SA 3.0, GPL 3.0 and LGPL 3.0.

Why has LGPL 3.0 not been added the the license section?

@cvieira

Yes, according to te licenses you are allowed to modify them, but you will have to share the modification under the license you choose except of the LGPL license. I believe you don't "have" to release the asset with it. I think that is the point of Lessor GPL.

the freedom to use the software for any purpose,
the freedom to change the software to suit your needs,
the freedom to share the software with your friends and neighbors, and
the freedom to share the changes you make.

The LGPL and GPL licenses differ with one major exception; with LGPL the the requirement that you open up the source code to your own extensions to the software is removed.
