Looks good (really creepy). Why not use gimp to create a small brown image, add some noise, and then blur real quick? Basic textures are easy to do, and uv-unwrapping (while tedious) is a great way to make models look better. You could keep a small collection of images you made to quickly texture objects for upload, or look through my stuff (all cc0 with textures).
