I am using these ghost sprites for a game, but I decided that they should have human legs so I spliced two sprites and saw that the ghost license required me to share my edit.

Based on

  • Ghost by qubodup (-SA, GPL)
  • Legs by Garfunkel (CCO)

Based on the licenses selected,  it also requires you to indicate where the original came from and attribute the original author. What are these modifications of?

@ghostie: We really do need to know what the original artwork is from for the "Share Alike" clause to be satisfied. Until then I have to mark this with a potential licensing issue. Only temporary, of course. We just need to make sure the original artist is credited properly. :) let me know if you have any questions.

@MedicineStorm, it looks like it's based on these:

  • Ghost by qubodup (-SA, GPL), which was in turn based on this by CharlesGabriel
  • Legs by Garfunkel (CCO)

Yes the art is from:

  • "Ghost by qubodup (-SA, GPL), which was in turn based on this by CharlesGabriel
  • Legs by Garfunkel (CCO)"

as the other user said. Apologies I linked them as collaborators. In the future do I link the artwork in my description??

No problem! thanks for resolving it.

"In the future do I link the artwork in my description??"

Yes. Collaborators are really more for showing who helped author this asset, not who authored the asset this was derived from. There is no problem listing the original artists as collaborators (I actually encourage you to continue doing so) but it doesn't satisfy the licensing requirements of attribution and indicating what specific art was modified. Your recent addition showing what was used, who made it, and a link to it, satisfies that requirement pefectly! :)
