This is the OST for a game that unfortunately has not been made. As the project is dead I release the music so that someone may find a use for it. The game was to be a oldschool 16-bit style space and planetary exploration themed platformer with some interesting ideas so I think the music will be appropriate for any such project.
Music was made in Guitar Pro 5 software and .gp5 and .mid files are available on my homepage (and also shell scripts to generate the ogg from midis).

Thanks for putting these up! No doubt they'll find life in new projects.
Wow, awesome! With sources! W00t!
I attached a .7z of the sources, so they're easier to get :)
these sound awesome! also the fact that you just delivered a set of tracks that fit together very nicely and can easily fill a whole game makes this one of the best uploads on OGA :D
I tried orchestrating your intro song, but am not sure if this is a good addition, as I like your version a lot more: http://www.box.net/shared/4rchme9mi2
Thanks, everybody.

Orchestrating probably won't work, the song structure is different.
I know... but it was worth a try :P
WOW these are AMAZING. I am using them in a new project of mine, and you are in the credits!
Great :)
Oops, forgot to login :)
:( Why is the project dead?
Sadly, it happens even with the best of projects. Not much actual work was done, though. And I had a lot of fun making these tracks :)
omg im in love with this music thank you so much, you sir are a legend
Im Using this in my Game "Running Fox". I have used some songs for my Background music of Level 3&4.

This is truly awesome :D When I get to that point I'll probably put some music in my project.
I plan on using thsi in my 16 bit style platformer "She is the Knight", do you mind? My attribution is as follows:

Sure, go ahead.
Thank you, it's a commercial project. I forgot to mention that, is that alright?
I specifically chose CC-BY-SA to allow that. CC-BY-NC and the like are the ones that disallow commercial use.
Best. Soundtracks. Ever. Used the final boss fight in my game and oh my god it is so amazing, so thank you - thank you and thank you!
I am using this for my game 'Space Marauder'. A top-down shooter made in HTML5 with Construct 2. Check it out:

Fantastic work, and the MIDI files are hugely appreciated. It can be hard to find scores of top-quality contemporary work under free license, but they're so crucial to learning and improving composition skill. Plus, sometimes you just want to save space or change the instruments, and MIDI makes that enormously easier.
Awesome!!!! I love it!
Thanks a lot. I used your music in my game (make it just for fun). And I putted link to this page in readme - https://bitbucket.org/grigoriytretyakov/lightbox-game
Great work! I will use your work for my 2d space shooter game(with a credit of course)! I will link you the game when it is finished!
These sound perfectly paced for a calmer game like Descent, great work!
Beware of the "SA" license, people. Any asset used in your project licensed under SA requires that you apply the same license to your entire project.
@Bobjt: that is rarely true. SA license requires any derivatives of the asset to be -SA, but game code and separate asset collections are almost never considered derivatives of the asset.
Often authors intend this to be the case, so out of respect for the author's wishes, it is advised you ask the author directly if there is any ambiguity, but the -SA license being viral to the entire project would require the project to be set up in such a way that it absolutely cannot exist if the asset were omitted (i.e. there is no way to swap out the asset in question with alternate assets)
I think I see what you mean. SA only applies to the entire project if the entire project itself is reasonably, arguably, entirely a derivative of an SA asset. I appreciate the clarification, but, ... I still don't like it ;-)
Yeah, I also tend to shy away from CC BY-SA. I don't want to make the author angry even if it is legally allowed to go against what they were going for.
Hi Metaruka, I've used one of this in my shoot 'em up prototype (as Level 1 boss theme):
