they look very good, where do you have them from?
i want to know that, because you uploaded so much and they have a good quality too.
i really want to use them, but for this i want to be sure that the source is really free, if the photo-resources (if used) / textures allows relicensing.
did you make them seamless and are the source-photos taken from you??
Since they definitely look like commercial quality, I looked up where they are from and found these were part of a paypackage from a now dead website: https://web.archive.org/web/20060707222256/http://www.speedimagery.com/s...
rather sad
Not sad, if the author can verify that he really is the author of the textures and planned to release them as CC0 now. He named himself Tom Speed in his profile and that is also the creator of the speedimagery site I think, so if it is truely him everything is okay. Since the site is down for quite a while it would make sense.
It is a little odd that he named himself silently without replying to any of the comments.
Yes, that is odd, I will wait till the original author responds, sadly I could not find any contact information to the author, since his sites are all long gone.
If I would release such a big packet, I would anounce it more widely and give description from where and why etc. This pack alone has more high quality texture content than this whole site, I wonder why he would want to just dump this here.
I tried to contact him, but no response and also no responses to comments here.
It is highly unlikely he is the author of these textures. He is acting suspicious.
I reported all his posts as well as his account.(unflagged all)Hi all, don't panic, they're mine. I took them and edited them with thei ntention of making a texture art pack but I failed at marketing, and hell, indie coders don;t have cash at the end of the day. :)
Rather see them used.
Pics taken from in and around Liverpool, England, 2006.
Here's some of the textures, and links to streetview to where I took them :)

Now, go enjoy them with the confidence that they're not stolen, and thanks for the compliment! :)

Hope we're all good now? :)
Yes & Yes.
Tom.
@scouser
Good to get some response, it was just very suspicious dumping so many content, without saying a word.
I do not use free content very often since from time to time there is stolen content in it or the author simply did not know about licensing or did not care. For the quality you get normally for free it is not worth the risk, but your pack is really worth the double check.
That's understandable and thanks forthe kind comments!
@scouser
I tried to send you a private message with some questions, if you did not get any mail, could you contact me?
Sorry. I guess no one expected this amount of quality content uploaded under CC0 without a single word from the uploader/author.
Replied to email. Sorry for delay!
Tom
These are still seeing use in 2022!
Thank you very much for sharing your textures, @Scouser.
