Flintlock
A Flintlock pistol designed for a first-person game, with fire animation (12 frames). I used generic reflection maps on the metal parts to mimic the effect without being too hardware-intensive, though you could user real-time reflection if you really wanted. The model is purposefully higher poly than normal because it was made to be right infront of the camera, though you could decimate it for a third-person game. It comes with the diffuse, normal, specular, and reflection maps.
To see how I made this, including some tips and tricks of mine, view my tutorial here: http://opengameart.org/forumtopic/making-a-musket-with-animations-finished
I made two versisons of this model, one with flint in the hammer and one without.
692 vertices (704 with flint)
1235 triangles (1255 with flint)

really nice one, and awesome video tutorials too!
This is pretty cool :D
At first look I just had the impression you posted the one from the Bounty Hunter blend file http://ancientbeast.com/bestiary/#Bounty_Hunter
I've subscribbed on youtube, the tut seems nice, well done!
Thanks for the nice comments and for subscribing to my channel! I still don't know how to post videos on here, if there's a way at all. I tried editing the HTML and pasting the Youtube embedded video code in there but it won't play when I post it, so I just have to use links instead. It would be really good if Bart could get videos working.
Also, if you have some ideas for what I could do for the next Let's Blend, please let me know!
Nice job! Gun metal is lots darker though. Change your brightness on this color and render it again.
