Would you be willing to change the symbol so it is not a red cross on a white background? I know this may seem rediculous, but developers get in trouble for using it in their game otherwise. You could try a Red "H" (for health?) instead of a red cross? Or perhaps a white cross on a red background? Or still a white background, but a green cross instead?
