Deliberate Concealment

This is a track I created for a 2-hour MIDI challenge event hosted by Joshua O'Sullivan (Dragonfly) and James Paddock (Jimmy). Each person was given the same constraints on their MIDI - four instruments (Shakuhachi, Piccolo, Celesta, and Pizzicato Strings), one drumset (Standard), two time signatures (3/4 and 5/8), and one or both of two tempos (104bpm and 121bpm). Another track from the event can be found here.
This feels a bit like spy thriller music to me, which is why I called it "Deliberate Concealment." Due to the constant switches between 3/4 and 5/8, and the tempo changes, the speed of the track feels somewhat off-kilter, and I quite like the effect. I was listening to a playlist of Lee Jackson's music (the composer best known for work on Duke Nukem 3D) just before listening to this, so I might have imitated his style a bit here.
