Decorative Road Tiles Pack
This Pack has a rather interesting tale to tell.
It started off in Animal Crossing New Horizons, of all places. I was setting up a placeholder tile to lay out my road as I haven't yet unlocked the endgame content and wanted to have my town's layout setup just right before I did so. I started off with four simple circles, connected them, started shading, and one thing led to another until this unique and intricate pattern emerged before my eyes. Then, I started making supplamental tiles for it, and before I knew it, I had a pack of 35 tiles and a road that looked amazing.
I realized this beautiful art couldn't just be limited to a game that would fade into obscurity as soon as its successor came out, so I painstakingly copied them pixel for pixel into photoshop, and from there, my creativity really exploded, resulting in a complex 60 tile set that impressed several artist friends of mine, and they encouraged me to release the pack for all to use.
So, here it is.
The possibilities of this pack is endless. Use it for roads in RPG Maker (VX Ace Ready tileset included!) or in other top-down 2D games. Use it as a UI interface. Use it for your webside background, like in the good ol' internet days. Use it as a PC desktop background. Use it as a 3d texture for a character's shirt! Just go wild!
For the RPG Maker users out there, I highly recommend using it as a second-layer overlay due to the heavy reliance on transparencies as opposed to an A5 layer tile. If you want to take a shot at making it an autotile, go for it. I have limited experience in that, but if you can make it work, by all means!
And yes, the original 35 tile pack I made for Animal Crossing will be available eventually. I just need to find the time to upload the pack to the Custom Designs Portal and make a link for myself. I'll update this description with my Creator ID when that time comes.
