Battle For Wesnoth portrait of a cuttle fish I did a long time ago, no longer in use.
Included a GIMP file with the original pens scanned in alayer.

Really nice work :D I actually though it was pixel art from the thumbnail, initially, but regardless, it's really neat looking.
Following your idea I added a 64x64 version uisng Dawnbringer 32 colour pallete. (Still room for improvement)
