CubeCreate looking for new team members/ lead artist
CubeCreate is looking for new team members!
CubeCreate, a new 3D Game Engine and platform (Forked from the Syntensity project) has been in development over the last 6 months. We've been cleaning up the code it was based on and making all kinds of improvements on its predecessors code base, such as replacing Javascript with Lua, improving the editing experience, and updating the Cube2 (Sauerbraten) engine to its latest release.
We were very fortunate to have the services of a highly skilled artist (and contributor to OGA), but he has had to resign from his post due to personal reasons. In order to meet our release plans, we need someone to fill his rather sizable shoes: Someone to lead the art direction for the games the CubeCreate team aims to develop, help design the art-development pipeline, and create visual concepts for other artists and mappers to base work on.
However, we need more people than just a lead artist; if you don't have the time to commit to a lead artist position or don't feel that you are comfortable with the responsibilities, we also need modellers, animators, texture artists and concept artists too; web designers and programmers won't be turned away either!
CubeCreate will hopefully have an initial release in less than a week; we'll be launching with a block as a player model unless someone can provide something fitting before the release. :)
