My husband play a role game on table. He described me his character without showing me any drawing. It's a young spanish warrior during XVIIth century.

I found a photo to help me for the armour on internet but the pose (shown by my husband) and the ideas of the decorations are mine.

I drew by hand, scan and then colorised with Gimp.

Textures are photos I took in Barcelone and Paris.

This character could be modelled in 3D for a game, I think.

Not historically acurate at all, but the style is pleasant, somehow reminds me of chinese old pictures

doudoulolita's picture

Except the lack of the helmet and the length of the "skirt", the shape of the armour is exactly based on a photo of a real armour found on internet.

The sword and boldness are total fancy.

Of course the decorations do not match the historical style but they are in the spirit wanted by my husband for his character in the role game Anima. He saw my first attempts and wanted more "fire" decorations. It's not fire at all in the picture I choose as a base but lights and metal ! It actually gives a chinese style, you're right and I'm happy because I love chinese culture.

I precise I didn't see any pictures of the game when I draw this character as my goal was to practice my drawing skills, but not by imitating another drawing.
