Base human models updated from Clint Bellanger, and Pompei2 models now for Blender 2.5:

Changes:

Added COG (center of gravity), Neck and Shoulder bones

all bone rotations set to 0

adjusted vertex weights

set mesh and armature coords at 0,0,0 (skeleton can be moved and posed properly now)

rotation locks on knees and elbows

male and female are now on seperate layers, bones on seperate layers below mesh

* UPDATE: more misc fixes; walk, run, idle, and punch animations

by Francisco Athens (FreeLikeGNU)

Previous version info:

The models use all quads -- this makes some tasks easier: subdividing, adding loops, sculpting, etc.  Each model has 408 quads and a very basic UV mapping.  Units = meters.

The rigging uses simple vertex groups.  The hands use only enough rigging to pose fists or weapon grips.  Because of the low poly count, some extreme poses will leave messy joints.  The male/female faces have no details and the foot is as if wearing shoes (i.e. the toes aren't modeled).  The bodies have very basic proportions (heroes might be taller and more muscular).

Thanks for this update! These tweaks are well beyond my current expertise -- as you can probably tell, I made the original versions work just well enough to get 2D sprites.
