Description:

Sprite created as drop-in replacement for arachne enemy in Stendhal. Based on LPC Spiders by Stephen Challener & William.ThompsonJ, & Svetlana Kushnariova's 24x32 characters.

Stendhal enemy: arachne

Details:

  • Orientation: orthogonal
    • N/E/S/W format for Stendhal.
    • S/W/E/N format for RPG Maker & RPG Boss.
  • Dimensions: 48x64 & 96x128 (scaled)
  • Animation:
    • idle (center frames)
    • walking: 12 frames (3 per direction)
    • Animated preview @ 150ms delay.
  • PNG images optimized with indexed color (smaller files).
  • GIMP sources (.xcf) use RGB color.

Licensing:

  • OpenGameArt.org Attribution (OGA BY) version 3.0
  • Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) version 3.0

TODO:

  • Clean up scale2x filter artifacts in 48x64 version.
  • Clean up 96x128 scaled version.
  • Create alternate version using LPC body.

Very fine. Except what doesnt make sense is that when looking at her from the side, the red dots are not exactly in the middle of her body as in the walking up animation.

@Hidden Lotus: The LPC Spider uses a different top-view angle than Cabbit's bases. So they do not match up well. I was hoping to do another version with an LPC-style body. But I don't know if I'll ever get around to it.
