This Radar animation is a derivative of one of my earlier works, the "Naval Battle Assets" Pack. I couldn't help but wonder how much cooler the radar would be if it was animated, so I decided to experiment with it and see what I could come up with. The results were better than I expected, and seeing that there aren't a lot of decent quality radar animations out there, I decided to release this asset pack to the wild to help those who need this for their underwater exploration or war simulators! This pack comes with a Radar Base with 360 frames, A set of Blip Animation frames, and two types of optional grid overlays. All you need to do is make the radar frame, or edit them into a texture for a 3-D model! As a bonus, I've included example gifs in the downloads for you to preview, showcasing the animation potential. Created with Photoshop 6.0 Released for commercial and private use, DRM OK. Please see my Art Assets FAQ for more information.

The Gif is a bit slow; it's running all 360 frames at 30 fps, if I recall, which is Adobe ImageReady 3.0's maximum speed. If put into a professional movie making software such as Adobe Vegas or DaVinci resolve, you can adjust the framerate to be 60 or even 120 fps which will speed up the frames immensely. You can also remove frames to speed it up for slower FPS ratings.

I have a movie that displays the radar assets running fast at a smooth 60 fps framerate but unfortunately I can't upload it here, and I don't know if this site allows links to google drive.
