"Affordable" Motion Capturing

Hi,

I just found this on the freegamer forums and thought it is awesome:

http://www.ipisoft.com/

I didn't have a good look at it yet, but it seems to use one or several webcams to create IMO pretty amazing animations very quickly.

The 1000€ for the main version is quite a big sum, but I guess that for commercial indie studios it makes motion capturing at least affordable (compared to usual systems). Also there is a 30 day trial version, that can be used for tryout (or as a full version reinstalling your windows every 30 days :P ).

That seems pretty much what I was looking for when I told some of you about soon to be affordable technologies making our lives easier on the IRC :)

Going to have a closer look at it soon,

remaxim

Those are great.

There is also Perception Neuron which we use in our mocap studio found at http://mocap.com.au. It is extremely accurate to millimeter.
