Unofficial LPC Wood Iron Shields
"LPC characer not included, but you can find it at https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-medieval-fantasy-character-sprites"
This is an entirely new set of shields. 21 of them to be exact!
Inspired directly from Raymond Eternal who made these from my barrel / bucket design.
Made through mixing and mashing different variations of the bottom and top shapes together. Excluding the completely round one. Also some look better than others.
Personally I won't be making any animations for this or try putting them to match LPC Spritesheet. Even though I really enjoyed expanding these into something nice.
I highly welcome someone out in the world though to pick up where this has stopped. Even if that means editing these to make new shield types or color variations to different icons or designs on them. Since they are around originally 24x24 but not all being exactly that. Many have a good amount of space for details.
I can only hope some of you enjoy this.

Nice! Always glad to see new editions to LPC. :)
Edit: Since you used the LPC character in the file, you need to change the license to CC-by, and add the creators of him to the credits, also, since they aren't complete sheets for the characters, mind if I work on them?
Yes, FiveBrosStopMos is correct. Please indicate the proper attribution, include a url to the LPC base model used, and adjust the license to match. (Probably CC-BY-SA & GPL, not CC-BY).... or you could exclude the character base from the downloadable file and just display the shields. That way it wouldn't be a derivative of non-CC0 content. I guess it wouldn't have any association with LPC, though. Your call, but until then I must mark this as having a licensing issue. Let me know if you have any questions.EDIT: Fixed, thanks! :)
Like I said anyone at all can modify the shields or add progress to this project. Heck even if you create a seperate posting. I encourage doing so!
Yes I attempted at fixing this. I hope things are sorted out now. Changed the licensing to what you wanted. I kept the humans on the preview because I wanted them to show how they looked with the shields on them. I would like to exclude the humans. However then they look less inpressive to me.
Yep, that fixes it.
Just FYI, preview images are not considered part of the asset, so you can use a preview image that has the humans in it, but leave them out of the actual downloadable file. That would allow you to show off how they look on an LPC character, but not require you to license the submission as if it is derived from it. All you would need to do is put a blurb in the description like: "LPC characer not included, but you can find it at https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-medieval-fantasy-character-sprites"
Then your attrbution/copyright-notice section could be what you had originally. ...In fact, it would be more usable that way, since users would not need to edit out the demo-character to add the shield to thier own custom characters.
Don't know how much you care about that, and it is fine the way it is now, but it is an alternative option. :)
Okay I am finally satisfied. :) Yay.
Great work pal! Thanks for sharing them.
You're welcome, bud! I am glad that people have actually downloaded them Even if people haven't tried creating something brand new out of them to share with others on here! I really want to add more shapes to them. Not sure what those would be though. They would end up less realistic if I did but variaty if I came up with anymore would be cool. Maybe I can find other shield shapes online or in LPC to mimic.
Can't believe I didn't add a kite shield. Does this look nice enough? https://ibb.co/SsCmYB0
