A series of 458 FREE Animated Flags for your games and projects!

These are perfect for creating tile-sets, game icons for language or region selection screens, templates for custom flags, world maps, animated avatars, animations for web pages, or anywhere you may need an animated flag! Every flag has been rendered as *.png with teal backgrounds. There are 229 different countries to choose from, and every flag has been rendered with shaded and unshaded versions, so you can pick the style you need for your project.

Shaded / Unshaded

Each filename begins with the two-letter Country Identifier Code, and the number at the end of each filename is the size of each frame in the sprite sheet. Every animation also has 16 frames, allowing for smooth flag waving!

All unshaded flags have been rendered with solid colors so they can be easily modified and customized. The pack also includes one Flag Shading Sprite-sheet for applying the shading effect to any unshaded flags you might wish to edit or modify. Check out how to do that in this short Making Of: Animated Flags devlog.

Contents:

  • 229 x Orthographic Flags (Shaded)
  • 229 x Orthographic Flags (Flat/Unshaded)
  • 1 x Flag Shading Sprite-Sheet

*More Animated Flags will be added over time!

Useful addition. I don't see any other animated flags like this and a civ or conquer type of game set in the real world would need it

Thank you so much, I hope someone out there finds them useful! It is possible for me to make more variations, like different types of waving or even isometric versions of these, but both tasks would take a good amount of time haha. Though if anyone ever expresses any interest, I may put those on the to-do list one of these days :P

Would love to see how these get used!

-Converter under 31 KB, ..confirmed.

-EDIT of post.
..Hehe, it appears that some colors in frames are redundant(green above Flags).
-Good job anyway, good work keep up, give us more, it`s in essential to keep work under heavy fire, at all cost, Baz out.

Whoa, that does seem a little bit funky, I can't seem to find the error in the spritesheet itself! I'll fiddle around a little bit and see if I can narrow down what is happening there
