Can I have some feedback on my pixel portrait creator?

I plan on adding saving, loading, and other stuff in the future. I would like to hear you guys' suggestions for improvements since generally people don't really coment on itch besides "add more options". The source code is here: https://github.com/shatreal/ppc
It took me a bit to notice the dropdown at the top for switching between different facial features. That should probably be made a bit more prominent... Or move the selection of facial features to appear along with the color selection when clicking on the "ears", "eyes", "hair" boxes at the bottom. I kept trying to add facial features by clicking on those various color boxes, but they didn't appear to do anything since the features they are coloring didn't exist. I believe it would also be easier to visualize my goal if the initial state of the character had a default value for all the typical features; starting with a head that has no eyes, ears, nose, etc. makes it difficult to understand what I'm able to accomplish. It may also be helpful to include some brief instructions in the "more Information" section description.
Overall, a nice tool! I think I could really use this. :)

Thanks for the feedback! I'll make sure put those changes in the tool!
Awesome! I've been struggling miserably to make an avatar for myself, and I was able to come up with a pretty decent one using your tool. Suggestions: glasses, I wear them, and my avatar doesn't really look like me without it, more clothing options, and a more masculine option for the body: thicker neck, broader shoulders, ect. Aditionally, different hair options, like long hair, mowhawks, mullets ect. would allow for more diverse avatars.
Overall a really amazing tool. Well done! :)

Thanks! I'd like to make different neck and shoulder options, but then the outfits would need different artwork for each combination of neck and shoulder options and it would be a mess.
Oh, ok, I see, thanks anyway! :)
Very good job !
I would be great to add some color presets for skin (human "white/black/yellow" colors, tanned/pale variants) and hair (brunette, blonde, red...).
Also what is the license of this project ?
It's CC0.
