This seem to date back to Juny through December 1997, and the process I had to go through to convert from the ad-hoc RLE graphics format I've used back in the day to PNG is perhaps more interesting than the tileset itself.
I haven't found a way to do the conversion with ImageMagick, GraphicsMagick, Netpbm or Gimp (except for assembling the final PNG); particularly as I had to preserve color indices for "palette rotation" (indices 170 through 201) to work. Ended up writing custom code based on Perl Imager.
