Need Art for Board Game (Paid)

I am currently in the process of bringing a board game to market. Up til now, all assets have been in the prototype stage having been hand-drawn by me - but I am most certainly not an artist.

Therefore, I am initially looking to hire someone to design 8 different landscapes to fit within the template below.

The backgrounds would be: Plains, Forest, Water, Swamp, Mountains, Barren, Desert and Village. I'm quite open on the exact styling of the art as long as its not too busy in it's composition as other assets may be placed upon these tiles during play.

Having never commissioned artwork before, I'm not sure what I should be offering price-wise, so consider me very open to negotiation.

If anyone would require more details, please let me know.

Thanks in advance, Sharpey.

What sort of Pixel art do you require? 8bit, 16bit, asset author defined? Do you have a preference/Would you have a preference? Maybe find and post a screenshot of a simular game or has the Pixel art you would like. That might help us to determine who can do it and cannot, should some of us think of proposing ourselves.

example: i can do 8bit pixel art but never worked with 16bit(yet) so should you want 16bit or simular, then that would rule me out. :)

Have you tried PM some members on here of work you like?

The template you have posted, i'm asuming is 'isometric' view/layout?

Thanks. :)

I'm extremely flexible as there is no set style for the rest of the game's visuals as of yet.

I've attached two temporary examples using images from a quick google image search.

The reason for the odd shape of the template is that I'll eventually fit them together in groups of 3 to make one tile, with the space in the middle being where the players would erect different buildings.

Cool. I could draw one, no charge of course, as a tester. I enjoy the practice ;) Are the backgrounds made to fit inside the template? Or do the templates combine to make the full background?

Thanks for the offer, ZomBCool. I have unfortunately agreed an offer and handed a contract over to another artist.

That's not unfortunate, it's good news XD Now your cooking with gas! All the best with your game. Keep us posted somewhere about the progress.
