Fix website

the art gallery section needs a back button. I use IE and when I click on my back buttion it takes me back to pag 1 instead of the page I was viewing prior. I could be on page 20 and I find a image I want to see. Well if I view the image, I will have to click back on my browser and start over at page 1. Next will have to click next 20 times to get back to page 20 to contenue browsing to pickup where i left off.

That's a consequence of using AJAX on the art browse page and there's no easy solution to it.

And yes, before people jump in and tell me that there's a way it can be fixed, I know you can fix it by messing around with hash tags, but I don't have the time to deciper Drupal's incredibly complicated Views module and add that functionality in there (plus, it would probably just get lost the next time they updated it).  I'll report this bug to the plugin maintainer, but I make absolutely no promises as to whether it will ever be fixed.

At the moment, we use ajax for art browsing because it doesn't refresh the entire page, and it loads way faster.  The work around for this problem is to middle click the image when you want to open it, and that will open it in a new tab.

If people want all art to open in new tabs automatically, I might be able to do that.  Would that be acceptable, or would it drive everyone crazy?

I think that would be okay.

One other note:

In bug reports, it helps to be a bit more descriptive in your subject line.  "Fix website" doesn't tell me a whole lot when I'm looking at a summary of feedback posts. :)

I wouldn't notice any difference. I don't really use left-click on the web anymore.

bart: You can rename it you know ;)

You might ask the community Bart, we seem to have a vast amount of skilled web designers on the site. Maybe even make it a event or something  offer a prize to best new code or something. Maybe even set it up as a plug in, I don't know. I know very little about web stuff, i just program in VB lol
