[LPC] Siege Weapons
Medieval-era catapult and ballista---a basic and upgraded version, in 8 directions; plus cannon, in 4 directions.
The wheels are in separate tilesheets, so that you can animate the shooting arm and the rolling independently. You'll need to layer the sheets in this order:
- Catapult: (wheels-bg.png or wheels-bg-upgrade.png) > (catapult.png or catapult-upgrade.png) > (wheels-fg.png or wheels-fg-upgrade.png).
- Ballista: (wheels-bg.png or wheels-bg-upgrade.png) > (ballista.png or ballista-upgrade.png) > (wheels-fg.png or wheels-fg-upgrade.png) > ballista-arm.png
- Cannon: (cannon.png or cannon-with-ball.png) > wheels-cannon-fg.png
Works great if you add a little "kick" to the animation, rolling ~5px in the forward direction after the 4th frame.
