Open Commission for 64x64 sprites

Hello,

I'm currently creating a 2d, top down (see attached for a perspective test) turn based game.

I'm of course happy to pay, and if it matters to you, I'm a relatively experienced programmer and have the game mechanics all sorted out so it shouldn't be too long between getting the art in and going live in some form (you will of course be duly credited as well).

I am however looking for a relatively distinct style - as a reference point I'd say a cross over between Dune and Dark Souls. I'm not looking for anything too anime-y or cutesy (which might be obvious from the references!) but I'd be more than happy with either the tradtional 'pixel art' style or a different style.

A rough list of what I'm looking for:

  • A set of 64x64 character sprites, with some animation (nothing too complex - idling, movement and death animations mostly). As a rough guess, I'd be looking at about 20-30 animated sprites.
  • A few explosion/effects.
  • Some background tiles, but relatively few (no need for large scale backgrounds or similar)
  • GUI elements (nothing complex either, just buttons and frames mostly).

Any portfoilo stuff you've got would be great even if it doesn't fit the tone exactly (as long as you feel comfortable taking on that sort of tone) - I won't be asking for lots of test images or anything, although I may ask for a small proof of concept before we actually start working together. If you do post or PM me, please provide a rough cost per tile/animated sprite - no need to be too exact as I know my description has been broad! Thanks,
Retro
