I've opened the 'Halls of Infinity', which I guess cannot be finished, judging by the name and the fact that I've met the locations I've already been in.
There is an inactive teleport is the 'Underworld Stronghold: Barracks' and I have no idea how to activate it.
So the question is - is this it? Does the game still have no ending (or different levels of complexity) or am I missing something?
Yes the game has an ending. Investigate the pit next to the teleporter.
The Halls of Infinity is indeed an "infinite" dungeon for the player to look for loot, grind, etc.

Also, is there a reason why I need the second 'Black Quill'? I got two for the quest, the first one got used and the second one stays in the inventory and connot be dropped.
You're only supposed to get one Black Quill, so that sounds like a bug! I'll look into fixing it.
