Hey, I use Krita to make my free and open art, but I can't upload the source files in .kra format. Can someone add that compatibility so Krita users can upload their source files?

You should be able to put the files inside a .zip file. That should upload ok.

If it is an art submission, zip files are supported. You can place your .kra file in a zip file and submit.

Otherwise I don't know. I am not sure if they can add .kra support in a near future

EDIT: ok, it seems like adding ".blend" at the end of the filename works. Then you have to remove ".blend" after the download

I looked for this configuration but couldn't quite find it where I expected it. There's probably enough customization under the hood that Bart will be the one to add allowed file types.

I, a Krita developer, use zip files myself. I also add a little readme with what I did, credits and pre-rendered pngs to the zip.

For the anyone who is looking into it, ora(openraster) and kra files are both zip files with an xml inside. For previews, all that is needed is to extract the top-level mergedimage.png from either to display.
