Anyone need a game composer?
Hi Sam my name is Jordan. Im currently working on starting my own Indy game development studio. Im working on 2 projects right now. There not real big like a mmorpg or mmo, but a decent size. 1 is Deep Space Chronicles - a space game top down style/rpg/sim/casual. I have the concept on Steam right now. Just posted it a couple of days ago. 2 is Heaven or Hell a choose your own path type game that involves Angels & Demons. I have been using royalty free work from all over the net, but Im looking to put together a good team. This game is priced @ 9.99 as of right now, but thats just because I like to make it as available on low budgets so everyone can enjoy a good game without breaking the bank. Im going to be looking for 2 people right now. A musician and artist. The name of the studio is Hobo Tech Games. I know its kinda of a funny name but has meaning behind it. Even more for the future as I will like to donate to the homeless. If this is something that you would like to be interested in you can contact me at marketing@hobo-tech-games.com O and if you are on Steam you can check out the game here. Its not in Alpha just yet but Im working on it daily and its making good progress. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=242274995

Hi Titanicpiano14!
I made this short loop that I really like and I'm not the most musically talented, I'm looking for someone to expand this into a full length menu track.

Here's the flstudio project file download over at mediafire;

Bear in mind I'm hoping this can be a main menu soundtrack. So it has to grab the player's attention when they open up the game.
If you capture the spirit of this track and deliver something I like, I have numerous other small files like this that I'd like to be made into game soundtracks.
I'll pay £5.00 GBP or $8.58 USD each.
Best of luck, feel free to add me on Steam - Username and avatar are the same!

Ignore my previous request.
I'm still looking for more compositions for my project.

Holy shit, $70 for a minute of music?
No wonder you don't list prices, people actually pay that? Some people really have more money than sense.
That's actually a fairly cheap price for a composer. Consider that a minute of music might take several hours to compose and master, and that you're paying for the time of a skilled, trained professional.
No some people have more sense than you.
When you finish your game are you going to sell your many hours of labour to a single client for a once-off fee of £5.00 GBP?
No. You are going to either sell it to many customers for a small fee, or to a single client for a large fee (which they will recoup by selling it to many customers for a small fee). That or you will starve.
Red warrior needs caffeine badly.
Her model of busniess makes sense. It's impossible for someone like me to throw down 3000 bucks for a full soundtrack, but if the work she does is high quality she deserves to be compensated justly. Maybe she offers some sort of financing or payment plan but I have enough bills to pay as it is :P
@Surt
Designing games isn't my full time occupation. Nor should it be for anyone who wanders around websites like this looking for FREE, OPEN materials.
I don't plan on selling my game, but instead opening up and letting people play for free. I may incorporate something like an item store purely for hour long boosts and holiday items - though I'd definitely limit how much of a boost you could buy and I'm strongly against character binding so I'd expect people with money to buy boosts and limited holiday items and sell them for in-game gold to people without money. It happens alot in GW2.
I do however plan on having a starter kit to allow people to boost forward about 3 levels (not actual levels, just a 1.5 tier limited weapon and a 1.5 tier set of armour) when they start the game - a pretty insignificant thing in the long run and for 50p I should hope so. Though I'll be using the gear levelling system in my game, I plan to make the 1.5 tier gear turn into something sweet if you reach a certain level as an extra little "thank you" for supporting the game - this won't affect people who don't buy it, again it will be tradable, thus rewarding players who invest the time into earning in-game gold to trade for the gear, again supporting the game.
Surt, I think you may have seriously misjudged the type of person I am, that's a shame - I'm not quite sure what this rampant arrogance is amongst pixel artists these days, I hope I don't come off as such to others.
Anyway - I'm sorry but the only place that $70 a minute is acceptable is in a recording studio where you spend an afternoon remixing and mastering some shitty band. Music creation doesn't take nearly as long as you seem to think it does. You're essentially saying $70 for less than an hour's work (aka a minute of audio) is perfectly fine, when it's not.
I'm done replying, that's my opinion. You guys can say whatever you want, but I'm telling you your opinions are meaningless to me if you think this is okay when there are Teachers and Doctors who earn less for actually doing work.
Peace-
