This tool seems easy to use, I created a tree in less than 15 minutes < noob at anything computer related.

Looks neat!

I think trees made with this app couldn't be uploaded to OGA though.  The license isn't compatable with us:

"tree[d] is free to use, and you can include the trees you make in your own projects, commercial or free, as long as they are not model packs, texture packs, 3D model generators, or texture generators."

But looks like it could be a good resource for some games.

I am no legal professional but that license seems fishy. Does a single model constitute a 'pack'? What if I convert the file formats?

I see it could be a problem for opensource game projects that might want to relaease their art assets with the source.

Anyway they seem like cool enough people they might make an exception for O.G.A. if someone contacted them?

I sent them an E-mail. I hope to get an answer soon, but remember, they are situated in Danmark, so their working day starts in about 9 hours from now.

Yeah, the tool itself is not FOSS but the models can be CC-BY-SA as long as they aren't in packs(as noted above). I got approval from frecle to use models generated by tree[d] in Glest tilesets and licensed as CC-BY-SA.

wciow posted a tutorial on .OBJ exports from tree[d] to Blender and finally into G3d.
