I need something like this, but about twice as large, and more smoothly animated. In the project I'm working on, when the player finds a new object, it will appear as a rotating present.

there is an easy way to do this.

first you can add a cube in blender (use the default cube) and keyframe the rotation of the cube.

after rendering an image sequence you can open these images in gimp and paint a simple cube over it.

an other way is to pixelise these renders you get from blender

I wish I knew how to use blender or any 3d modeling program, but next year I'm taking a 3d modeling course.

I'm going to try that cube maker thing and see if that works.

Thanks guys for the help!

Hi there,

Incase you are still having trouble finding/creating this here you go!

As rubberduck suggested this was made very quickly in blender, if you are planning to do a lot of stuff like this then I would suggest you learn the basics of blender, animating a cube is very simple.

With all respect, but it's unwise of you to suggest that he uses Blender to make a spinning cube. Blender is quite complicated and not a trivial program to learn.
