FLARE [ARCHIVED]

Simple Flare mod

I made a simple mod for Flare that adds a simple, weak dagger dropped by goblins that only requires 1 Physical to use. The ZIP file below includes a .bat installer (it installs into fantasycore) which can also be used to uninstall the mod.

Let me know if you have any feedback or other ideas for similar, simple mods. I'm planning to update the mod to make newly created Keeper characters start with the dagger.

Hi,

an awesome idea. :)

If you plan to create an own mod and not a modification of the fantasycore mod, it would be enough to just post the difference.

So in the new mod you'd only need to add one item to the items.txt and it will be used as well as all the stuff already beign there.

I'm not sure about the enemies and the icons though.

Creating a "mod loader" for Flare is something I've been considering. I suppose it would be possible to make it so it merely appends information to Flare's files, but I'm not particularly good at programming yet. I made this mainly just for kicks and giggles.

Flare itself can parse the mods and append it internally.
