Possible Bug with Stacking Items

When I try to buy stacked items from vendors in the game, I can't seem to get them to unstack, so if a vendor has three stacked potions for sale, for example, I have to buy all three.  I can't find a way just to select one or two from the stack. Is this a bug, or is there some way to do this that I am not aware of?

shaadow,

Hold down shift, while clicking on the stack, then it should only take one of the items.

Another key to hold would be CTRL, then you don't need to move the item over to the inventory, but a single click on the item in the vendors tab will do.

Thinking about this, how is this problem solved playing on keyboard only, i.e. no mouse or even using a controller?

@Stefan

When using a controller, only 1 item in the stack is picked up, as if we were holding Shift. In fact, there's no way way to pick up a whole stack with a controller currently.
