Simple Shoot'em up game

I'm making a simple open source game. Game type is shoot'em up.
The ships took from here.
Need art for the main menu:
- The background with the name (The Last Frontier).
- Three buttons - new game, settings and about.
Resolution - 320x480.
The game performed in the vertical position.
What style? Starcraft style or somethign like Alien ? :) What exactly would you like to see on the background?
I draw for fun and I'm not looking for job.
I already have one ;)
No particular style. But closer to Starcraft. Ships on the link from the previous post should be in harmony with it.
I think the Earth is needed on the background with reflections of the sun as a symbol of the last frontier.
