I was working on the project ideas for another project and I was curious if anyone else thought that OGA going open source and applying for GSOC would be a good idea. Im sure that there are a number of intresting projects that could be done for OGA that would benifit everyone.

But OGA is not a software, and it's using Drupal which is already opensource, so i'm not sure if there is anything else that can be opensourced.

OGA has a semi-large amount of custom code for various things on the site such as the art challenge, site customisations and atr collections.

The reason we use Drupal is because it's easy to add custom code to it.  Drupal can't do what OGA does out of the box.
