Flattr Support is Back
Flattr support on OGA was removed when we updated to Drupal 7 a year or two ago, because at the time the Drupal 7 Flattr module wasn't ready to go. As it stand, Drupal 7's Flattr module is still in alpha, and hasn't been updated since July, so I didn't feel particularly good about including it here. In any case, I've tried to put together a simple custom Flattr implementation for OGA.
If you're an artist and would like Flattr links to appear on your art, edit your user profile by clicking your username in the upper right and then clicking the Edit tab. Scroll to the bottom and fill in your Flattr UserID, then save your profile. From there on, Flattr links should appear on any art that you submitted and you are the author of.
Important note: This is a brand new feature, and it hasn't been widely tested, so at the moment consider it to be in beta. That is, while I'm pretty sure it'll work okay, I can't absolutely guarantee it, so please let me know if you run into any bugs.
Important note #2: If you had flattr enabled back on OGA 1.0, you'll need to re-enter your flattr username in your profile.
Thanks!

Love it. Already got a Flattr! The only thing that's too bad is that the img link protection OpenGameArt employs changes the image of item Flattrd on their website. Just reporting. Not a big deal.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll fix that if there's a way to do it.
Very glad it's back!
It works as expected: no flattr for 3rd party art, flattr for own art.
The og:image tag in combination with the preview image might be a solution for the preview image situation. Facebook, reddit, google plus seem to use this tag to identify the preview image. See http://ogp.me/
Looks like its working fine now. I just got another Flattr image looks good on their site.
Yeah, it had to do with meta tags (in that we didn't have any). The issue is fixed. Hopefully it'll help with other social sites as well.
Getting an error. Whatever I input into the flattr field gives me an error. It would be most appreciated if you could add a flattr example link with what part I should enter into that field highlighted in bold text and maybe a different color.
What is the error message?
Gives me no direct error message. It shows just an exclamation mark and the word Error beneath.
The colors might be messed up. Please press ctrl+a to possibly fix that. Please look at the HTML/Source or take a screenshot if there's still nothing.
See for your self.

No error message here.
No error message in the profile editor either.
I have this flattr link:

Ah, I thougt the OGA interface gave you an error.
You are supposed to use your USER ID, not the name. Try that again please and then CTRL+SHIFT+R twice to cache-reload.
Use jobromedia
I temporarilly changed mine to "johan.brodd" and it seemed to work fine.
Thanks a bunch of bunches! :D Will sort that out. :)
