[LPC] Woof - a dog that pees on stuff!

I'm working on my game entry for the LPC, which is set in a town and mostly takes place

around a small shop...(see attached screenshot) and I think it would be great to have some variation from only having people walking around on the 'streets'...

So I was thinking of a little dog that comes wandering through town now and then, snuffs at stuff

and pees on the trees/bushes (as all doggies should :)

I did a quick google, and all I could find was a spritesheet for Earthbound that was almost perfect (dog was a little too small), but of course I can't use that. I've put it in the screenshot for reference...

So would anyone be keen to draw a little dog for me?

Would need a 2 frame animation walking left or right (I can mirror the sprite),

and animation for walking up and down...and if possible peeing on stuff (sideview only is fine)

and snuffing at stuff (nose to the ground, tail straight)

Woof :D

LOL, great concept. I do hope the dog is one of the smaller breeds, cuddly and all and it's an innocent adventure . It could be a puzzle platformer, hidden object all kinds of things. Also it could be for the average joe. No killing, no implicit violence.

Just a suggestion, Woof Woof!

No, no violence in my game. Games don't need violence to be fun.

Despite the fact that the provided LPC art is really an 'RPG' art set,

I'm going against the trend and trying to put together a little simulation game.

A Cute and cuddly small dog would be perfect.

Add a cute and cuddly cat or a bunny and I'll make them chase each other :P

Woof.

Hope this can serve as placeholder art at least:

Awesome.

Placeholder schmaceholder, that will do.

Heh. Now I'm going to have to spend the rest of the night adding the dog to my game.

I've added a snuff frame and cleaned up the legs a bit.

The head in the last frame looks a bit fuzzy because I just used rotate in Gimp to get it that way :P

XCF is here

Hi,

This is a great idea. I have been thinking about adding birds, walking, pecking and flying for sometimes, too.

Would someone be interested in doing LPC compatible graphics, maybe?

Ah, and team Meoow, here ;)
