who runs OGA?
ctdabomb
Tuesday, July 3, 2012 - 07:48
I was wonder who the wonderful people are who run this? is there a list somewhere?
http://opengameart.org/users/qubodup should be on the top of the list followed by maybe one or two people who might have access to the code I guess.
More/most/all of the site code is copyrighted to quodop I believe (don't really know much about it) while art contributions are via the various artists under more or less progressive copyleft licenses.

Qubodup has access to the code and some of it is his, but the majority of the original site code is mine. :)
The site founder is me.
The admins (in no particular order) are Lunpa, Botanic, cwebber, kurt, p0ss, verbalshadow, Clint Bellanger, ceninan, and qubodup.
The editors are ctdabomb and CruzR.
I don't keep long-term activity logs, so I can't comment on who does more or less, except to say that I appreciate everyone's efforts to keep OGA up and running. Thanks also to the Drupal project and the countless people who wrote the various Drupal modules that OGA runs. :)
/me apologies for the foot in the mouth. I felt I was forgetting something or someone.
Have to say though didn't know that OGA admin group had so many more people. This is good, which also means that there should be a page where all the admins, owner (for legal purposes) and members should be there. Something say at http://opengameart.org/users/ which lists people.
We do have the Who's online bit on the site but this would be way better.
Please read that as Request for Enhancement to the site.
Haha, how did you get the idea that I was in charge? Because I was posting the last few blog posts?
Bart is the master admin and we owe him a lot for OGA. On http://forum.freegamedev.net/ there were many, many discussions about creating a website like this but he went ahead and did it. :)
EDIT: I am also 100% sure that art made by me is only a low, low %.
