NOTE: I am in no way an artist, rather a starving programmer who wants to learn 3d art and animations.

Okay, disclaimer out of the way, I was browsing Open Game Art, and I saw Lyndon's Realtime Rancher's model pack, the cow and the horse, and I thought, man, wish those were rigged or animated. So, I decided to try it for myself, and am quite happy with the results.

The model itsself is exactly how Lyndon created it, however I have added a skeleton that's rigged and ready to be animated. It's still the large .blend file that Lyndon supplied as well, but hopefully this will breathe life into the previously static horse.

The license is same as Lyndon's, as he did all the hard work.

Worldforge has a screenshot with a horse that looks "strange":

They should replace it with this one.

I made all kinds of noises upon clicking that link.  None of them I can type in the English language to show my emotions.

Good job. However, you forgot to add weights to the hair, eyes, and tail. This is quickly fixable by simply selecting both the object and closest bone (multiple selection is done by holding down SHIFT), then use Ctrl+P (think of it as P=Parent), and then select the automatic weights option.
