I tried a planet like this myself from scratch. Any suggestions on how to improve it?

By the way: I'm using your planet in a game and recently noticed an ugly border cut off on all outer atmosphere borders. Obviously the layer ended there. You only see this when looking from on top of a flatscreen because of the backlight changing to your view or when you brighten the image.

@Bonsaiheld: I have checked you planet, looks pretty good. Only improvement I might suggest is using different textures as background. Have you checked these?

I didn't noticed the glow going out of the layer. I guess fixing it should be easy, but if you run into a problem let me know.

Checked those textures. I guess the first commentator is right: They look a bit unrealistic. I'm gonna try that http://en.spaceengine.org/. Looks interesting. :0
