This is a classic "lightning weapon" that is commonly found in arcade shumps.

The lightnings are composed out of 30*30 sprites. There are 40 different pieces to choose from and 2 frames of animation for each piece, so the whole thing is 80 sprites + special effects.

With this set you can do both basic 4-direction lightnings, as well as more complex 8-direction ones, or even combine both styles.

When using this, every "lightning piece" should be animated: a simple alternating 2-frame animation for every piece should do the trick. I have not tested this myself, but it should work. :)

Hey master.

I like the beam as a "lightning" effect, is cool.

Also your articles in your website are quite nice to be honest. Keep up the good work Master :)
